Last summer, I visited the SUPERMODELS: then and now exhibition in Berlin with my mom. It wasn’t our intention because we wanted to spend our holidays in the German museums and bike tours along the wall. But my dad found the exhibition on the source that has all the answers to your philosophic thoughts: the internet.
So after surviving the city’s traffic on our bike tours, my mom and I decided to have a look while my dad took my little brothers to game heaven –some sort of game museum.
We had to cross whole Berlin to get there, but I’m glad we went. The photos where truly fascinating. Some so simple, but still so beautiful. And for me, as an aspiring model, the printed works of art on the wall were a bioling source of inspiration.
That’s her. That’s her. I whispered to mom everytime I recognized a model –which was at every single piece.
The exhibition was the proof that modelling is art. Just as much as photography, paintings, films and music. That modelling is the art of showing the art of fashion. That modelling is the art of enchanting the lense of the camera in the art of photography.
I’m sorry these images are taken with my crappy iPhone. I’m saving for a camera, so hopefully I can make images like these one day, or be in it.
